About the role#
This is a paid COOP position based in Omaha, Nebraska, running from May 2027 through December 2027. You will support the Research and Development team by validating the performance of harvest machinery through field and lab testing. This role requires significant travel, ranging from 80-100 percent of the time, and you must be able to obtain an interstate CDL, a valid driver's license, and a passport.
What you'll do#
- Conduct assigned field and laboratory test activities.
- Fabricate test parts or entire harvest machines in the workshop.
- Perform instrumented tests in both lab and field settings.
- Present test results to the Engineering group through written and verbal reports.
- Follow all company values, safety rules, and established procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Mechanized Systems Management, Ag Systems Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment and harvesting practices, with a farming background preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with prototype shop machine tools, including welding, is desirable.
- Ability to manage high workloads and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
