Agricultural Machinery Test Technician COOP 2027 Season

About the role#

This Agricultural Machinery Test Technician COOP role runs from May 2027 through December 2027. You will support the research and development team by conducting functional and durability testing on CLAAS products. This position requires 80-100% travel, both within North America and internationally. You must hold a valid driver’s license and passport, and possess the ability to obtain an interstate CDL.

What you'll do#

• Conduct assigned field and laboratory test activities.
• Fabricate test parts or entire harvest machines in the workshop.
• Perform instrumented tests in both lab and field environments.
• Present test results to the engineering group through written and verbal reports.
• Adhere to all company values, safety policies, and regulatory standards.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Mechanized Systems Management, Ag Systems Technology, or an equivalent field.
• Familiarity with agricultural equipment and harvesting practices; a farming background is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Operational knowledge of prototype shop machine tools, including welding.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage a high volume of work with attention to detail.
