About the role#
The City of Starkville is hiring an intern for the SOCSD 21st Century CLC Grant. This role offers hands-on work experience within the Starkville Fire Department stations and offsite locations. You will assist with maintenance tasks, administrative support, and public outreach.
What you'll do#
- Clean and inspect equipment and grounds.

- Location: Starkville, Mississippi.
- Term: Summer 2026 (June 1 through July 31).
- Schedule: Part-time, maximum of 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: $10.00 per hour.

- Physical requirements: This position involves working in various weather conditions and terrains. You may be required to lift objects up to 75 pounds, walk for long periods, and perform physical movements such as bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching.
