Banking - Capital Markets, Full Time Analyst

About the role#

The Capital Markets Origination (CMO) Analyst Program is a two-year, full-time position within the Investment Banking division. Analysts begin with a six-week intensive training program to learn fundamental banking skills, market dynamics, and Citi's culture. Following training, Analysts are placed within a specific CMO team to work with corporate and government clients on financing packages, capital structure needs, and strategic transactions.

What you'll do#

• Manage relationships with fixed income and equity clients.
• Analyze client capital structure requirements and develop strategic financing solutions.
• Originate, market, structure, and execute fixed income and equity transactions, including IPOs and LBOs.
• Manage ongoing dialogues and interactions with corporate clients.
• Demonstrate methods to mitigate interest rate and credit risk through the use of derivatives.
• Develop a deep understanding of the bank and institutional investor universe and relevant market trends.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Minimum 3.3 GPA or above.
• Academic background in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting.
• Demonstrated commitment to personal growth and career development.
• Strong desire to learn and succeed in collaborative team environments.
• Genuine interest in building relationships with investors and raising capital.
