About the role#
The Real Estate Strategy & Reporting Intern supports the Manager of Real Estate Strategy & Reporting. This role focuses on how data and analytics shape real estate investment decisions. You will work on projects related to portfolio strategy, site selection, and executive reporting. This position provides exposure to Finance, Construction, Property Management, and Operations teams. This is a paid, part-time internship based in the Charlotte office.
What you'll do#
- Support real estate strategy and analytics projects through research and financial modeling.
- Build, validate, and maintain store-level datasets including location attributes, square footage, and opening dates.
- Contribute to ad-hoc analyses using store performance data and market insights.
- Assist in documenting processes, methodologies, and best practices for the team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and participate in meetings to understand how analytics informs business strategy.
- Organize analytical outputs and maintain shared data tools.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Majors in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Modality: This is an on-site role. Remote work is not available.
- Schedule: 16 to 20 hours per week during the academic semester, with the option for up to 40 hours per week during school breaks.
