Real Estate Strategy & Reporting Intern

About the role#

The Real Estate Strategy & Reporting Intern will support the Manager of Real Estate Strategy & Reporting in shaping real estate investment decisions. This role involves hands-on project work focused on portfolio strategy, site selection analytics, and executive reporting. You will gain exposure to cross-functional departments, including Finance, Construction, Property Management, and Operations, while learning to translate complex datasets into actionable business insights.

What you'll do#

• Support real estate strategy and analytics projects through research, data development, and financial modeling.
• Build, validate, and maintain store-level datasets, including location attributes, square footage, and opening dates.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses using store performance data, financial metrics, and market insights.
• Document processes, methodologies, and best practices for real estate analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in meetings to understand how data informs business strategy.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.

• Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
• Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: 16–20 hours per week during the academic semester; up to 40 hours per week during school breaks.
• Status: Paid internship.
