About the role#
CHS Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Specialist Intern for Summer 2027 in Elk Mound, Wisconsin. This paid internship provides insight into the energy team, with a focus on the Certified Energy Specialist role. You will work alongside experienced professionals to build practical skills and gain career insights.
What you'll do#
- Shadow the Certified Energy Specialist to learn about sales, marketing, and consulting processes for CENEX products.
- Train on building and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
- Attend sales calls and in-person meetings for commercial business.
- Spend time in the field with the energy service team and join a propane route driver for a ride-along.
- Work with the Energy Manager to understand how the energy operation is managed for safety and efficiency.
- Learn about CHS energy programs and the Cenex brand.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an energy, agriculture, or related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Background knowledge or experience in agriculture or energy is helpful.
