About the role#
CHS Inc. is looking for an Energy Sales Intern to join our team in New Town, North Dakota for the Summer 2027 term. This paid, full-time internship focuses on the role of the Certified Energy Specialist. You will gain hands-on experience by working with our energy team, interacting with customers, and learning how our operations function to support the agriculture industry.
What you'll do#
- Shadow the Certified Energy Specialist to learn sales, marketing, and consulting processes for CENEX products.
- Attend sales calls and in-person meetings with commercial clients.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with current and potential customers.
- Spend time in the field with the energy service team to understand daily operations.
- Join a propane route driver on a ride-along to see how their work coordinates with the broader energy team.
- Observe the Energy Manager to understand how the facility is managed for safety, productivity, and efficiency.
- Learn about CHS energy programs, including the Cenex brand.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an energy, agriculture, or related degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Background knowledge or experience in agriculture or energy is helpful.
