About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Valley City, North Dakota. You will work on-site to gain practical experience in agronomy sales and operations. The position runs during the Winter and Summer of 2027. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support local producers and learn how our business functions.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Agronomy Sales Representative with crop scouting, soil sampling, and solving field agronomic problems.
- Design, monitor, and summarize farm trials to provide data to customers and the agronomy team.
- Use integrated pest management techniques to determine treatment thresholds.
- Write and present reports to your supervisor or customers.
- Learn the features and benefits of our agronomy products and services.
- Help with over-the-counter sales and product delivery.
- Perform warehouse and agronomy plant operations.
- Use the Agris software for invoicing and inventory management.
- Assist with inventory management procedures and maintain equipment and facilities.
- Follow state, local, and company environmental and safety policies.
- Perform custom application if qualified and if the need arises.
- Help other departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or related agriculture degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Previous knowledge or experience in agriculture is preferred.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
