About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Loomis, Nebraska. You will work directly with customers to provide service and information regarding agronomy products. The position follows a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Use integrated pest management techniques to determine treatment thresholds.
- Write reports and present them to customers or your supervisor.
- Learn the features and benefits of agronomy products and services.
- Help with over-the-counter sales and product delivery.
- Learn warehouse and plant operations, including equipment and facility maintenance.
- Use the Agris computer program for inventory management and invoicing.
- Assist with inventory procedures.
- Follow state, local, and CHS safety and environmental policies.
- Perform custom application work if you are qualified.
- Support other departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Agriculture degree program, such as Crop Science or Ag Business.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Agriculture experience or background knowledge is helpful.
- Previous internship experience.
