About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Bridgewater, South Dakota. You will work on-site during the winter and summer of 2027. This role involves hands-on experience in agronomy sales and operations, working directly with producers and experienced staff.
What you'll do#
- Assist with crop scouting, soil sampling, and solving agronomic problems in the field.
- Design, monitor, and summarize farm trials to provide data to customers and the team.
- Apply integrated pest management techniques to determine treatment thresholds.
- Create written reports for presentation to supervisors and customers.
- Learn the features of agronomy products and services while assisting with counter sales and product deliveries.
- Perform warehouse and plant operations, including inventory management and invoicing via the Agris software.
- Maintain equipment and facilities while following safety and environmental policies.
- Perform custom application work if qualified.
- Assist other departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Agriculture-related degree program, such as Ag Business or Crop Science.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Agriculture experience or background knowledge.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
