About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Lemmon, South Dakota. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support agriculture operations. The program runs during the Winter and Summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Agronomy Sales Representative with crop scouting, soil sampling, and field problem solving.
- Design, monitor, and summarize farm trials to share with customers and the team.
- Apply integrated pest management techniques to determine treatment needs.
- Write and present reports for supervisors and customers.
- Learn the features and benefits of agronomy products and services.
- Handle over-the-counter sales and assist with product delivery.
- Perform warehouse and agronomy plant operations.
- Use Agris software for invoicing and inventory management.
- Maintain equipment, facilities, and a safe work environment that meets all environmental and safety policies.
- Perform custom application if qualified.
- Support other departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or related agriculture degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Previous experience or knowledge in agriculture is preferred.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
