About the role#
This paid internship offers hands-on experience in the agriculture industry. You will work alongside professionals in Dixon, Nebraska, to support local producers and gain practical skills in agronomy and sales. The program runs during the Winter and Summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with crop scouting, soil sampling, and solving field agronomic problems.
- Design, monitor, and summarize farm trials to provide data to customers.
- Use integrated pest management techniques to determine treatment thresholds.
- Write reports and present findings to supervisors or customers.
- Learn the features and benefits of agronomy products and services.
- Help with over-the-counter sales and product deliveries.
- Perform warehouse and agronomy plant operations.
- Use the Agris program for invoicing and inventory management.
- Maintain equipment and facilities while following safety and environmental policies.
- Perform custom application if qualified.
- Assist other departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or related agriculture degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Agriculture experience or background knowledge is helpful.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.
