About the role#
Student Central Representatives serve as the primary point of contact for the Student Services division at Chippewa Valley Technical College. You will provide cross-functional support for admissions, financial aid, and registration to help students navigate their enrollment journey. This role impacts student recruitment and retention by providing consistent, one-stop service for students, parents, and the public.
What you'll do#
- Act as the first point of contact for Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, and other student service departments.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, in-person, email, and chat, ensuring issues are resolved or escalated appropriately.
- Provide detailed information regarding college, state, and federal financial aid programs, including FAFSA and scholarship processes.
- Manage case records for every interaction and perform necessary follow-up tasks.
- Train new employees and offer guidance to student workers and interns.
- Interpret college policies and procedures to assist students with enrollment, account billing, and academic progress.
What you'll need#
- An Associate degree in a field related to the responsibilities of this position.
- At least two years of experience in a customer service or professional office setting.
- Intermediate technical skills with software for communication, data collection, and decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
