About the role#
This is a paid, part-time summer internship for students interested in wealth management. You will work within our Indianapolis office to gain exposure to the financial industry at a registered investment advisory firm. This program offers hands-on training to build your financial planning skills while working alongside our team.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and participate in client presentations.
- Assist Financial Advisors with financial documents and performance reports.
- Research stocks, bonds, and other securities using tools like Bloomberg, YCharts, HiddenLevers, and Riskalyze.
- Use CRM and financial planning software systems.
- Obtain your e-Money Certification.
- Manage account linkups and portfolio maintenance using back-end software.
- Participate and present in Investment Committee and portfolio subcommittee meetings.
- Learn about portfolio optimization, rebalancing, and backtesting.
- Conduct independent research and build spreadsheets for financial planning.
- Collaborate with a team to complete a virtual financial planning project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
- A minimum 3.2 GPA.
- A major in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Financial Planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Active participation in campus organizations.
- Preference is given to those with leadership experience or prior professional work experience.
