About the role#
As a Student Ambassador, you will work on-site at our State College location to support the daily operations of our apartment community. You will report directly to the General Manager and play a key role in leasing, marketing, and resident relations. This is a part-time position requiring 20-25 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Manage apartment rentals, including lease renewals and move-in procedures.
- Greet prospective clients, conduct property tours, and handle phone or in-person inquiries.
- Generate and qualify leads while maintaining guest cards and following up with prospects.
- Process lease paperwork, secure deposits, and prepare applications for approval.
- Ensure apartments are ready for move-in and orient new residents to the community.
- Support marketing initiatives, participate in outreach, and attend weekly leasing meetings.
- Monitor market conditions, update reports, and provide insights for community improvements.
- Accept rental payments and manage service requests from residents.
- Plan resident functions and maintain accurate commission records.
- Ensure the office and model apartments remain clean and open on schedule.
- Enforce community policies and ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws.
What you'll need#
- Previous experience in an administrative role.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to be proactive, solve problems, and take initiative.
- High level of organization and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office and online database systems.
- Resilience, adaptability, and an awareness of cultural diversity.
- Ability to maintain open communication with the General Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
- Availability to work 20-25 hours per week.
- Current enrollment in Business Administration, Communications, or Marketing programs is preferred.
