About the role#
Central Insurance is hiring a Data Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This role is a full-time, on-site position based in Van Wert, Ohio. You will work directly with our IT data engineering team, receiving mentorship from senior engineers while gaining hands-on experience in the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Write code using applicable programming languages.
- Use and learn industry standard data engineering tools.
- Implement new functionality based on existing patterns and approaches.
- Learn how the data engineering team fits into the broader business value chain.
- Complete a project over the course of the summer and present your findings to executive leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
