About the role#
This paid internship provides an opportunity to understand how a television station functions and the role it plays within the community. Interns will work with a collaborative team across multiple departments to learn how news is produced for both broadcast and digital platforms. This role is available for Summer 2026 and Fall 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Help write and produce newscasts and news stories.
- Contribute to brainstorming and idea generation with News and Creative Services teams.
- Assist with the execution of live newscasts.
- Support special events and event planning initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies programs.
- Strong writing, spelling, grammar, and copy-editing skills.
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines.
- Versatility to handle a wide range of topics, subjects, and tasks.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well as a team player.
- An interest in journalism, marketing, videography, and writing.
