About the role#
The Audit & Assurance Intern will support the firm in delivering financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, as well as internal audit and SOC examinations. This role involves working with entrepreneurial clients across various industries, requiring a motivated approach to executing work plans and building professional relationships.
What you'll do#
- Assist staff and seniors with the preparation and documentation of engagement workpapers according to firm and industry standards.
- Identify and communicate areas of risk within the engagement team.
- Complete assigned sections of engagements within established budget parameters.
- Address review notes in a complete and timely manner.
- Provide training to less experienced staff under the supervision of a senior or manager.
- Work directly with clients as necessary.
- Adhere to information security policies to protect sensitive data.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills to handle changing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to think critically and independently resolve challenges.
- Ability to adapt to a wide variety of projects.
- Willingness to travel to client locations locally and occasionally out of state.
