About the role#
The Audit & Assurance Intern role supports the firm in delivering financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, as well as SOC and fraud examinations. Interns work with entrepreneurial clients across various industries, focusing on mastering accounting concepts and developing an advisory mindset.
What you'll do#
- Prepare engagement workpapers and complete detailed documentation following firm and industry standards.
- Identify and communicate engagement risks to the team.
- Complete assigned engagement sections within budgeted parameters.
- Address review notes in a timely and complete manner.
- Interact directly with clients as needed.
- Provide training to less experienced staff under the guidance of seniors or managers.
- Maintain compliance with information security policies to protect sensitive data.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management to handle changing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to a wide variety of projects.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to independently resolve challenges.
- Willingness to travel to client locations locally and occasionally out of state.
