About the role#
The Audit & Assurance Intern role at CCK Strategies is a full-time, paid internship based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This position is for the Summer 2028 term and requires on-site attendance. Interns will work with staff and seniors to support financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, as well as internal audit and SOC examinations.
What you'll do#
- Prepare engagement workpapers and complete documentation following firm and industry standards.
- Identify and communicate engagement risks while applying core accounting principles.
- Complete assigned sections of engagements within established budget parameters.
- Address review notes in a timely manner.
- Work directly with clients when necessary.
- Provide training to less experienced staff under the supervision of a manager or senior.
- Stay current with evolving audit and accounting standards.
- Adhere to information security policies to protect sensitive data.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively while balancing multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Critical thinking skills to resolve issues independently.
- Ability to travel to client locations locally and occasionally out of state.
