About the role#
The Audit & Assurance Intern role supports the firm in delivering financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, as well as SOC and fraud examinations. Interns work with an advisory mindset to assist entrepreneurial clients across various industries. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2028.
What you'll do#
- Prepare engagement workpapers and complete documentation according to firm and industry standards.
- Identify and communicate areas of risk within the engagement team.
- Apply basic accounting principles and remain current with audit and accounting standards.
- Work directly with clients as needed.
- Complete assigned engagement sections within budgeted parameters and address review notes in a timely manner.
- Provide training to less experienced staff under the supervision of a senior or manager.
- Adhere to information security policies to protect sensitive data.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills to handle changing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to think critically, adapt to various projects, and independently resolve challenges.
- Ability to travel to client locations both locally and occasionally out of state.
