About the role#
As a Data Science Engineering intern, you will join the team responsible for building the data and AI foundation at CCC. You will work on real pipelines and datasets that support analytics, machine learning, and generative AI across the company. This program focuses on providing hands-on technical experience with business solutions.
What you'll do#
- Build end-to-end pipelines that turn raw data into curated datasets for analytics and model training.
- Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, including claim photos, estimate PDFs, and audio files.
- Develop and optimize Spark jobs on Databricks using Delta Lake tables and batch processing patterns.
- Apply data governance practices using Unity Catalog and AWS Glue, including schema management and data quality validation.
- Use Apache Airflow to build DAGs that orchestrate pipelines and monitor tasks.
- Partner with data scientists and ML engineers to prepare multimodal data for AI and computer vision projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate, Bachelor's, or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Engineering.
- A strong interest in computer science and related technical fields.
- Knowledge of Python, Machine Learning, or Statistics through coursework or projects.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work well within a team.
