About the role#
Silimate is seeking an AI Research Intern to help advance AI-native tools and agent-driven workflows for chip design. You will work directly with the founders to influence research direction and design decisions while contributing to the growth of the company. This role requires an adaptive, data-driven mindset and the ability to work from first principles to meet aggressive goals.
What you'll do#
- Architect, implement, and benchmark methodology across models, algorithms, and training frontiers for AI-native chip design.
- Collaborate directly with the founders on key research direction and design decisions.
- Push the frontier of AI-native tools and agent-driven workflows for chip design.
- Contribute to the growth and velocity of the startup.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics.
- Ability to work 15-40 hours per week in-person at the Mountain View office.
- Proficiency in writing and shipping high-quality Python or C++ code quickly.
- Demonstrated experience with applied AI and AI research.
- An adaptive, data-driven approach based on first principles.
