As an Agentic AI Intern, you will be embedded within an engineering or product team to build and deploy systems that automate high-volume, repeatable tasks. You will move beyond simple chatbot development to create autonomous agents that reduce manual toil, such as CVE triage and support ticket management. This is a full-time, remote, paid internship lasting approximately 6 months.
What you'll do#
- Build and deploy agentic AI workflows to automate engineering processes.
- Use the DataRobot platform—including AutoML, GenAI tooling, and MLOps capabilities—to design, evaluate, and ship solutions.
- Translate ambiguous team pain points into well-scoped AI/ML problems with defined success criteria.
- Work autonomously on project deliverables while maintaining alignment with your mentor.
- Document your work thoroughly to ensure solutions can be extended after the program.
- Communicate progress through weekly updates and a final Intern Showcase presentation to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Working proficiency in Python, including libraries such as pandas and numpy, with comfort in data manipulation and scripting.
- Foundational understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised learning, model evaluation, and feature engineering.
- A deep passion for autonomous agents and experience building systems that perform actions rather than just generating text.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical work to mixed audiences.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and escalate blockers appropriately.
