About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Tax Internship based in Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the Spring 2027 term. Interns will gain exposure to tax assignments across various industries, including real estate, construction, healthcare, and manufacturing, while working directly with client teams.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning tax assignments and participate in projects from start to finish.
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C corporations, S corporations, and individuals.
- Develop knowledge of tax compliance, including trust, gift, and estate returns.
- Assist with IRS audits and tax notice responses.
- Build professional relationships with client staff to support their goals and needs.
- Maintain high professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, research, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet software.
- Ability to multi-task, think independently, and solve problems within a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- A Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior work experience or active participation in accounting-related student organizations is a plus.
