Administrative Intern

About the role#

CBIZ is seeking an Administrative Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Fairlawn, Ohio. The role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in business operations and administrative support within a professional services environment.

What you'll do#

• Prepare and format various documents, including invoices, reports, memos, letters, surveys, spreadsheets, and presentations.
• Analyze incoming mail, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan for proper distribution.
• Manage office records by filing and retrieving documents as needed.
• Handle general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping tasks.
• Assist with business meeting logistics, including preparing agendas and making arrangements.
• Execute assigned project work and support daily administrative operations.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, specifically in Business Administration or Accounting.
• Strong technical proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and experience with audit software or internal intranets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, research, and project management skills.
• Ability to multi-task, think independently, and solve problems within a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of administrative procedures and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Previous experience in accounting or active participation in student organizations is considered a plus.
