About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Tax Internship for Summer 2026 based in New York, NY. You will work on-site, gaining hands-on experience by assisting with tax assignments across various industries such as Real Estate, Construction, Healthcare, and Manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the planning and execution of multiple tax assignments from start to finish.
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C corporations, S corporations, and individuals.
- Develop technical knowledge in tax compliance, including assisting with IRS audits, tax notice responses, trust returns, and gift and estate returns.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with client staff to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction.
- Adhere to professional standards regarding client confidentiality and personal conduct.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration. A Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical, research, and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet software.
- Ability to multi-task, think independently, and solve problems.
- Active participation in student organizations or prior work experience in accounting is preferred.
