About the role#
The Business Operations Intern will provide administrative support to the leadership team and other stakeholders. This role involves managing daily office tasks, supporting regional projects, and acting as a point of contact for internal and external clients.
What you'll do#
- Provide accurate administrative support including copying, scanning, mail coordination, and general office maintenance.
- Assist with calendar management, meeting preparation, and expense report processing.
- Provide receptionist coverage and support for guests and visitors.
- Prepare and update business documents such as memos and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and stakeholders, directing them to appropriate resources as needed.
- Support regional administrative special projects and office priorities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and audit software.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research, and project management skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and solve problems.
- High level of attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Houston, Texas.
- This is an on-site role requiring attendance at least three days per week during the traditional business week, Monday through Friday.
- The intern is expected to work 20 to 25 hours per week in blocks of at least two hours.
- Periodic additional hours, including evenings or Saturdays, may be required.
- The ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs is required.
