Audit Intern | Fall 2026

About the role#

CBIZ is seeking an Audit Intern for the Fall 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Interns will work on-site and engage in the full lifecycle of client assignments while developing professional skills in tax compliance and audit support.

What you'll do#

• Assist in planning tax assignments across diverse industries, including Real Estate, Construction, Healthcare, and Manufacturing.
• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Support IRS audits, tax notice responses, and the preparation of trust, gift, and estate returns.
• Manage client assignments from start to finish while maintaining professional standards and client confidentiality.
• Build and maintain working relationships with client staff to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, with a preference for candidates pursuing a Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, research, and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and audit software.
• Capability to multi-task, think independently, and solve problems in a team-oriented environment.
• Active participation in student organizations or prior work experience in accounting is considered a plus.
