About the role#
CASA DE LA FAMILIA is seeking undergraduate students to complete internship hours at our Santa Ana office. You will support our case managers by handling administrative tasks and coordinating office operations. This position requires a commitment of at least 10 hours per week for a duration of 6 months.
What you'll do#
- Answer and direct phone calls while acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Manage appointments and schedule meetings, including taking detailed minutes.
- Draft and distribute email, correspondence, memos, letters, and forms.
- Assist in preparing reports and updating office policies.
- Maintain contact lists and order office supplies.
- Provide administrative support for daily operations.
- Help organize and support community mental health events.
- Research and track local mental health events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student with a focus on Psychology.
- Prior experience as an administrative or office assistant.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of office equipment like printers and fax machines.
- Familiarity with office management systems and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and manage your time effectively.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
