About the role#
This paid, hourly internship offers hands-on experience in security operations, threat detection, and incident response. You will work within our IT environment to review security alerts, investigate anomalies, and support the team in managing potential security issues. This role is designed for students or early-career individuals looking to build practical skills in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Review daily security logs and alerts from endpoint detection tools.
- Identify, triage, and document suspicious or anomalous activity.
- Escalate confirmed or high-priority issues to senior security staff.
- Track open security tickets and alerts through to resolution.
- Assist with basic threat research to distinguish false positives from genuine risks.
- Support the team by identifying recurring patterns in log data and maintaining internal reports.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, firewalls, and DNS.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity basics such as malware, phishing, and endpoint security.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures.
- Good written communication skills to document findings clearly.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive security information.

- Compensation: $23.49 - $29.55 per hour.
