About the role#
As an IT Help Desk Intern, you will manage helpdesk requests covering Wajax IT activities. This is a co-op placement position that involves providing both phone and in-person support to local and remote end users. You will assist with hardware, software, and networking issues while ensuring technical problems are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate and prioritize incoming helpdesk requests.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Configure and position workstations for remote site users.
- Provide printing support across all sites.
- Coordinate with suppliers to improve the service experience.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as required.
- Maintain quality standards and follow IT service policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program.
- A diploma in Computer Science or an equivalent IT certification.
- Experience with desktop operating systems including Windows 7, 8, and 10.
- Knowledge of User Account Management and Incident and Request Management.
- Familiarity with supporting iPhones, Android devices, and tablets.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
- The role is based in Acheson, Alberta, and Edmonton, Alberta.
- The position operates on a rolling term.
