Carpenter Co. offers a 12-week, full-time Research and Development summer internship based at the Reinhart Technical Center in Richmond, Virginia. This role supports the Sustainability group, providing hands-on experience in applying engineering principles to real-world sustainability opportunities under the guidance of a senior mentor.
What you'll do#
- Update software templates to streamline data collection and improve robustness.
- Complete site-level sustainability data profiles for North American Carpenter facilities.
- Interpret collected data and draw conclusions.
- Document findings in a formal report.
What you'll need#
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of at least two years of college or university in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Engineering.
- Minimum 2.75 GPA.
- Basic proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
