    About the role#

    As a Front End Software Development Engineer Intern, you will join our engineering team to build and maintain consumer-facing web applications. You will work on high-traffic surfaces including our homepage, landing pages, and discovery tools. This role involves partnering with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver features that support our global markets in the US, Canada, and the UK. This is an 11-week, full-time summer internship program.

    What you'll do#

    • Build, test, review, and deploy production features using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
    • Manage the full development lifecycle, from initial design to final deployment.
    • Translate product and design requirements into functional UI behavior.
    • Run A/B tests and experiments to improve user experience and site performance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address localized requirements for global markets.
    • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and incident follow-ups.
    • Improve application reliability by writing automated tests and monitoring real-time metrics.
    • Execute incremental refactoring to keep the codebase clean and efficient.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of web fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, state management, and RESTful APIs.
    • Experience building user interfaces with component-based frameworks like React, Remix, or TypeScript.
    • Ability to diagnose failures in local or CI environments.
    • Attention to detail regarding responsive design and accessible UI elements.
    • Basic experience writing automated tests.
    • A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (June through August).
    • Modality: Hybrid (requires working from the Boston office approximately three days per week).
    • Employment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
    • Compensation: $35 per hour.
