Leasing Community Intern

About the role#

The Leasing Community Intern role is a paid, part-time summer position focused on resident retention, leasing current and future availability, and delivering high-quality customer service. Interns act as ambassadors for the community, maintaining a professional environment and assisting in daily operations to ensure resident satisfaction.

What you'll do#

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting prospective clients, answering leasing calls, and professionally presenting the community.
• Manage administrative tasks, including completing lease applications and maintaining accurate lease file documentation.
• Participate in lease file audits as directed by the Community Manager.
• Assist in the planning and execution of community events.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive first impression for visitors.
• Support the team with various additional community projects as assigned.
• Participate in required training programs, including Cardinal Way of Leasing and Cardinal U.
• Perform on-call duties such as lock-outs and property rounds, which include evening and weekend shifts.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours and a minimum of one year completed.
• A minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
• Status as a current or future leaseholder of the community.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and access all interior and exterior parts of the property in various weather conditions.
• Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred fields of study include Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate, or Communications.
