Leasing Community Intern

About the role#

As a Leasing Community Intern, you will serve as a customer service ambassador, focusing on resident retention and leasing availability. This role requires collaboration with the property team to maintain high occupancy levels and ensure a positive experience for residents and prospective clients. You will be expected to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, and participate in on-call responsibilities such as lock-outs and nightly rounds.

What you'll do#

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients, determining their needs, and professionally presenting apartment homes.
• Complete lease applications and maintain accurate file documentation in accordance with company policy.
• Participate in the Cardinal Way of Leasing training and certification process.
• Assist with planning community events and maintaining the cleanliness of the tour path.
• Handle administrative front desk tasks and support the Community Manager with various property projects.

What you'll need#

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
• Completion of at least one year of higher education with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 40 pounds and access all areas of the property, including interior and exterior spaces in various weather conditions.
• Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community and reside on the assigned community floor.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing, Communications, or Sociology.
