Leasing Community Intern

About the role#

The Leasing Community Intern role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service to residents and prospective clients. Interns contribute to community occupancy goals through resident retention, leasing current availability, and pre-leasing future units. This is a paid, part-time, on-site position for the Fall 2026 term.

What you'll do#

• Act as a customer service ambassador to ensure resident satisfaction.
• Manage administrative front desk tasks and complete lease applications and file paperwork.
• Maintain accurate lease file documentation and participate in file audits as directed by the Community Manager.
• Participate in required training programs, including Cardinal U and the Cardinal Way of Leasing.
• Assist with community events and various projects as assigned.
• Support leasing operations by greeting clients, answering calls, conducting tours, and closing sales.
• Monitor market conditions and maintain the cleanliness of the tour path.
• Perform on-call duties, such as lock-outs and property rounds, as required.

What you'll need#

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university, with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Completion of at least one year at an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and physically access all areas of the property.
• Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Status as a current or future leaseholder of the community, living on the designated floor as assigned.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration or Real Estate.
