Leasing Community Intern

About the role#

The Leasing Community Intern serves as a key representative for the community, focusing on high-quality customer service and resident satisfaction. This role supports the goal of maintaining full occupancy through effective leasing, resident retention, and professional community management. This is a paid, part-time summer internship based on-site in Madison, Wisconsin.

What you'll do#

• Act as a customer service ambassador to ensure resident satisfaction.
• Manage administrative front desk tasks and complete all lease applications and associated paperwork.
• Maintain accurate lease file documentation and participate in file audits as directed by the Community Manager.
• Greet prospective clients, answer leasing inquiries, and conduct apartment tours using established sales techniques.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the community tour path to ensure a positive first impression.
• Assist with planning community events and support various projects assigned by the Community Manager.
• Maintain a positive, professional demeanor when interacting with team members, residents, prospective residents, and vendors.
• Participate in required training programs and fulfill on-call responsibilities as needed.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours and a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Completion of at least one year at an accredited college or university.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and physically access all areas of the property, including indoor and outdoor spaces in various weather conditions.
• Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Current or future leaseholder status at the community, with a requirement to live on the designated community floor.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
