Leasing Community Intern

About the role#

As a Leasing Community Intern, you will support the community's goal of achieving full occupancy through resident retention and leasing efforts. You will serve as a key point of contact for prospective and current residents, assisting with administrative tasks and community operations. This role requires a commitment to professional service, teamwork, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

What you'll do#

• Act as a customer service ambassador by ensuring resident satisfaction and providing a welcoming experience.
• Manage administrative front desk duties and complete all lease applications and file paperwork.
• Conduct leasing activities, including answering inquiries, determining client needs, presenting apartment homes, and closing sales.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive first impression.
• Assist with planning community events and support various projects as assigned by the Community Manager.
• Participate in required company training programs and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company policy.
• Handle on-call responsibilities, such as lock-outs and property rounds.

What you'll need#

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
• Completion of a minimum of one year of college or university study.
• A minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
• Current or future status as a leaseholder of the community, with residency on a designated floor as assigned.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and access all interior and exterior areas of the property in various weather conditions.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Real Estate, or Marketing.

• Location: Tallahassee, Florida.
• Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Status: Paid, temporary, non-exempt position.
