About the role#
The Leasing Community Intern supports the community by delivering high-quality customer service to residents and striving for full occupancy. This role involves active participation in the Cardinal Way of Leasing training and requires a commitment to maintaining a professional environment for prospective and current residents. This is a temporary, part-time position with on-site work requirements.
What you'll do#
- Provide exceptional customer service and serve as an ambassador for the community.
- Handle administrative front desk tasks and complete all lease applications and file paperwork.
- Participate in required training programs, including Cardinal Way of Leasing and Cardinal U.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive first impression for visitors.
- Assist with planning community events and support additional projects as assigned by the Community Manager.
- Perform on-call duties, such as lock-outs and nightly rounds, as required.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours and a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Completion of at least one year at an accredited college or university.
- Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community and reside on the assigned community floor.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform tasks that require standing, walking, reaching, and climbing.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Real Estate, Communications, or Psychology.

- Compensation: $17 to $19 per hour plus bonus potential for California-based roles.
