The Leasing Community Intern role is a temporary, part-time position focused on supporting property operations and resident satisfaction. Interns contribute to community occupancy goals by assisting with leasing activities, managing administrative tasks, and maintaining a welcoming environment for prospective and current residents. This role requires availability during evenings and weekends.
What you'll do#
- Act as a customer service ambassador to ensure resident satisfaction.
- Manage administrative front desk duties and process lease applications and file paperwork.
- Maintain accurate lease documentation and participate in file audits as assigned by the Community Manager.
- Assist with planning community events and help with various community projects.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive first impression.
- Demonstrate a professional attitude when interacting with team members, residents, and vendors.
- Participate in required company training programs and leasing certification processes.
- Perform on-call responsibilities such as lock-outs and nightly rounds.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours and a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Completion of at least one year at an accredited college or university.
- Current or future status as a leaseholder of the community, with a requirement to live on a designated community floor.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform tasks that require standing, walking, reaching, and squatting.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to various weather conditions.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, or Real Estate.
Location & details#
- Location: Birmingham, Alabama.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Compensation: Hourly rate with bonus eligibility.
