Leasing Community Intern

About the role#

The Leasing Community Intern serves as a key representative for resident satisfaction and community operations. This role focuses on maintaining high occupancy levels through effective resident retention and leasing efforts. Interns are expected to collaborate with the team, handle administrative duties, and participate in ongoing company training programs. This is a paid, part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

What you'll do#

• Act as a customer service ambassador for residents and prospective clients.
• Participate in the Cardinal Way of Leasing training and certification.
• Manage front desk administrative tasks and maintain accurate lease file documentation.
• Assist with the leasing process, including answering calls, conducting tours, and closing sales.
• Help plan and execute community events.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the community tour path.
• Perform on-call responsibilities such as lock-outs and nightly rounds.
• Assist with additional community projects as assigned.

What you'll need#

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
• Completion of at least one year of college studies.
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and access all areas of the property in various weather conditions.
• Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community and live on the designated community floor.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate, Communications, Sociology, or Psychology.
