About the role#
This is a 12-month internship for a Mechanical Engineering student. You will work on piping projects, supporting technical analysis and facility design. This position is based in Calgary and requires working on-site five days per week. The term begins in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform piping stress and flexibility analysis using CAESAR II and other engineering software.
- Develop engineering work packages, including field walkdowns, scope definitions, and P&ID markups.
- Assist with asset integrity assessments, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering tasks.
- Review vendor documentation and help draft responses to Requests for Information.
- Support compliance with engineering standards and industry codes like ASME, API, ANSI, and ABSA.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2nd or 3rd year bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering.
- A strong interest in piping engineering, stress analysis, and industrial facility design.
- A valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent.
- A commitment to safety and a willingness to work in both office and field environments.
- Previous co-op, internship, or industrial experience is an asset.

- Schedule: Monday to Friday.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
