About the role#
This is a 12-month student position based at the Albian or Horizon Oil Sands sites. You will spend roughly 80% of your time in an office environment and 20% in the field. The role is safety-sensitive and requires you to work either a 4 days on, 3 days off schedule or an 8 days on, 6 days off rotation. This position begins in May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain Web maps and Web Apps using ArcGIS Online.
- Provide full-cycle support for projects involving Field Maps and Survey123.
- Manage, review, and update environmental GIS data.
- Support the production of regulatory compliance reports through data editing, management, and cartography.
- Assist with environmental field tasks, including wildlife management, water sampling, and reclamation monitoring.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a GIS degree, applied degree, or diploma program.
- A solid understanding of ESRI products.
- A valid Class 5 driver license with a clean abstract.
- Physical capability to work outdoors in difficult terrain and all weather conditions.
- Previous experience with field data collection using ArcGIS is considered an asset.
