About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work at the head office in Calgary, supporting thermal and conventional operations. You will coordinate information from project teams and consultants to prepare regulatory applications and plans. This role also involves supporting advocacy efforts regarding regulatory changes and application issues.
What you'll do#
- Assist Regulatory and Environmental Coordinators in preparing regulatory submissions, amendments, and notifications.
- Compile data and perform statistical analysis for reports and applications.
- Prepare documentation for regulatory agencies to meet Indigenous consultation and engagement requirements.
- Help manage project commitments for specific assets.
- Track approval conditions to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Monitor regulatory publications and project decisions to keep the department informed of new requirements.
- Prepare materials for stakeholder and regulator presentations.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of a recognized Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Law and Society program.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
- Term: 4 months, starting May 2027.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
