About the role#
This IT Support Intern position is based in New York and reports to the Senior IT Analyst. You will provide technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff. This is a part-time, on-site role requiring 10 to 15 hours per week. You must be legally authorized to work in the US.
What you'll do#
- Respond to and resolve technical requests via email, in person, and through the Service Desk System.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot standard software, web applications, and desktop hardware.
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Support classrooms to ensure lessons and presentations run smoothly.
- Help precollege students access and use school systems.
- Prioritize support cases and follow up on outstanding issues.
What you'll need#
- A strong understanding of IT concepts, practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in PC and Mac hardware and software configurations.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and standard business productivity software.
- The ability to diagnose and resolve web application issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- The physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and move around office and classroom settings as needed.
