About the role#
This twelve-week internship provides an opportunity to support the actuarial division at Cambia Health Solutions. You will help the company manage financial and risk positions while supporting our broader strategic goals. This is a full-time, paid position scheduled to begin in May or June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform technical, analytical, and support functions to help the division meet its goals.
- Proactively manage and track financial and risk positions.
- Report on financial data to support corporate strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program through spring 2027.
- Pursuing a degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, or a similar field.
- Progress toward passing at least one actuarial exam.
- A minimum 3.0 cumulative undergraduate grade point average.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, statistical analysis, and database management.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Experience using generative AI tools is highly desired.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid role with options for remote work. Candidates must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah.
- Office locations include Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; Medford, OR; Renton, WA; Lewiston, ID; Boise, ID; Burlington, WA; and Vancouver, WA.
- Preference is given to candidates who can work in person 1-3 days per week in Portland or Renton, or who live within a commutable distance to Salt Lake City, Boise, or Lewiston.
