About the role#
Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is hiring a part-time Student Assistant for the Civil Engineering department. You will work under the supervision of Dr. Sunai Kim to support structural engineering education.
What you'll do#
Your primary responsibility is to build structural models. These models help students understand fundamental engineering concepts. You will also provide technical support for these projects.
What you'll need#
You must be a Civil Engineering student. We need someone who is self-sufficient and proactive when creating and testing models. You should be able to work independently while showing responsibility and professionalism.
Strong communication skills are required for both in-person and Zoom interactions. You must be punctual, motivated, and show initiative. Accuracy is important, as you will need to keep detailed records of your hours worked and communicate clearly about materials needed for projects. You should be comfortable working with a variety of people, including faculty, staff, and other students. Knowledge of university paperwork processes is a plus.

This is an on-site role based in Pomona, California. The position is part-time with rolling recruitment.
