About the role#
We are looking for a Data Team Student Assistant to help manage alumni engagement information. You will report to the Senior Data Analyst in the Marketing and Communications Department. This position is a paid, part-time role for Summer 2026. You will work 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
What you'll do#
- Clean and standardize incoming alumni engagement data.
- Process and upload data following established internal procedures.
- Join weekly check-ins and help with additional tasks as needed.
- Complete required campus data privacy and security training.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program, such as Data Science or Statistics.
- Familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Adherence to federal, state, and campus data privacy laws.
- Optional experience or interest in learning Google Apps Script is a plus.
Location & details#
This role is a hybrid position based in Berkeley, California. You will split your time between working on-campus at Alumni House and working remotely. All remote work must be performed within the state of California. Work-study is required for this position.
