About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering team. You will contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects that impact the organization. You will work in a hybrid format, with four days per week on-site in Montreal.
What you'll do#
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects using methodologies like PDCA, 8D, A3, Lean Six Sigma, and BPM.
- Participate in large-scale transformation projects.
- Contribute to Lean Manufacturing projects to optimize processes.
- Develop process maps and conduct gap analyses to find improvement opportunities.
- Identify, recommend, and implement solutions, including creating and communicating action plans.
- Organize and facilitate workshops on problem solving, root cause analysis, and process mapping.
- Monitor project progress and track impacts using KPIs and dashboards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a university degree or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, with three years of studies completed.
- Previous internship experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, industrial engineering, or project management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to influence, actively listen, and collaborate.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada and ability to meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
- Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification or PMP are considered assets.
