About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Lynchburg, Virginia, for approximately 10 to 12 weeks. At the conclusion of the program, you will present your completed work and assigned projects to the leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Provide necessary hardware, software, and general IT support.
- Develop and deliver engineering solutions for a nuclear environment.
- Create and update technical drawings and procedures.
- Participate in design testing, analysis, project management, and material procurement.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program.
- Pursuing a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Occupational Safety & Health, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

- Compensation: $29.50 per hour.
- Additional support: A housing stipend is available for interns whose home of record is more than 50 miles from the work site.
